Hi I am Cairns Wedding Photographer Nathan Kelly….. Nath to my friends, Daddy to my kids and I am the owner and operator of Cairns Wedding Photography.
My journey in photography has been a long and rewarding adventure that has seen me travel to some amazing places ( more than 68 countries at last count), have my work published in some pretty impressive magazines and meet some amazing people. My profession has allowed me to meet and photograph royalty, Presidents, Prime Ministers, Artists, Oscar winners and of course Rock Stars….lots of rock stars in fact.
It was my love of music that initially lead me into the field of photography and by the time I was 21 I had photographed some of the biggest bands in the world including U2, The Rolling Stones, Ray Charles, Inxs, Hunters and Collectors, Lou Reed, RHCP and a long long list of others.
My love of photography lead me to study photography after graduating school at The University of Sydney’s prestigious Sydney College of The Arts. This formal training in the technical aspects of photography as well as the history of art and photography is what seperates me from my peers and has allowed me to develop my own unique style.
My work has been published in some of the biggest publications in Australian including The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Who Weekly, TV Week, The Big Issue, Cosmopolitan and more too numerous to name.
Prominent institutions have also collected my non-wedding photographic work including The Metropolitan Museum of Art (NYC) , The Australian War Memorial, The National Portrait Gallery and The National Library of Australia.
It is this wealth of knowledge and experience that I will bring to your wedding day….and few other photographers in Australia could match my professional experience.
